Just 1 day? (its not enough!)

  • Walk around the St Abbs National Nature Reserve, to the iconic lighthouse and stunning views from Petticowick .                                   

  • Wander around the photogenic little harbour and visit the Lifeboat shop to hear the story of the independent lifeboat.                                         

  • Take a breathtaking boat ride on Riptide to get up close and personal with marine and bird life.                   

  • Visit Number 4 Gallery to see some beautiful contemporary art and craft work.                                             

  • Try some incredible Cullen Skink at Ebbcarrs cafe in the harbour, or some delicious homemade cakes at The Old School Cafe at the top of the hill.        

  • Visit St Abbs Visitor Centre and do one of their historic walking tours. 

.....and then for Day 2

  • Jump on the local bus and travel south to Burnmouth. Walk from Burnmouth to Eyemouth along the Berwickshire Coastal Path. Download the brochure here.                                             

  • Stop for lunch at one of the many bars, cafes and chippies in Eyemouth, or sample the wares from the award winning Loughs Bakery (their almond tart is to die for!!).                            

  • Feed the seals on the harbour - they are resident and quite chubby!           

  • Walk on from Eyemouth to St Abbs so that you don't feel too guilty sampling some further homemade baking at our cafes.                                            

  • OR hire a bodyboard, surfboard or kayak from St Vedas surf shop and spend the day frollicking in the waves at Coldingham Bay. Theres's also a snorkel trail,
